It appears that "Attack on Titan" season 2 seems to finally give the prolonged hiatus a break. It has been noted that the release date for the slated sequel of "Attack on Titan" would be 2017 and it is the anticipated D-day for the fans and followers of the manga franchise.
It has been more than three years since the first episode of "Attack on Titan" was aired, so it is not surprising if fans are very much impatient for the second season of "Attack on Titan" to be released but sadly, though tittle-tattles claim a 2016 release, recent reports have surfaced that possible that the second season might be pushed back, reports Crossmap.
Also, despite of having a lot of unofficial announcements regarding the 2016 release of Attack on Titan season 2, not once did Wit Studio of FUNimation Entertainment confirm that they have plans on releasing the second season of "Attack on Titan" this year, as noted by the same post.

It was already mentioned by a former post from Jobs & Hire that the fans have grown weary for the long wait. When the first "Attack on Titan" ended in 2014, enthusiasts have been expecting announcements about the second season to pour in but none has been made yet and despite the mystery, season 2 production has been put on hold and cancelled for two times which resulted inconsistencies.
The recent news and updates regarding the release date of "Attack on Titan" calls for the three-year hiatus to finally give it a break. If the hiatus is further prolonged, fans and followers of the series might question the creators and developers ability to get the job done and to get it done on time.
