Johnny Depp’s Career May Be Damaged Amid Domestic Abuse Allegations By Amber Heard

Johnny Depp faces allegations of domestic abuse as revealed by Amber Heard, after filing for divorce last week. And Hollywood analysts predict that this will "stain" the actor's career.

Heard recently had her restraining order against Depp approved, citing domestic abuse. A judge granted Heard's plea and ordered Depp to stay away and prohibited him from contacting the actress before the hearing on June 17, according to the Daily Mail.

The highly acclaimed actor is well known to be liked, many of which are women. Veteran Hollywood analyst Michael Levine claims that whatever this issue will prove or disprove, Depp's career is already damaged by the accusation.

"It's very hard (to overcome), even if the woman recants," Levine told the Daily Telegraph.

The news of Amber filing for divorce has generated a mixed response from fans and stars alike. The actress' camp might have seen this as a perfect time to hit back.

A number people close to Depp came out in defense of the actor. Vanessa Paradis, Depp's ex released a handwritten letter, obtained by TMZ. Paradis called the accusation as "outrageous." Depp's ex also added that during the years they have been together, she claimed that Depp has never been physically abusive and doesn't look like the man Heard describes.

Paradis and Depp were together for 14 years and had two kids during the relationship; Lily-Rose, now aged 17, and Jack, now aged 14. The former also came to his father's defense.

"My dad is the sweetest, most loving person I know. He's been nothing but wonderful father to my little brother and I," she said and also stating that anybody who knows the actor would have the same sentiment.

Heard's camp however, stands their ground, even when the accusation has somehow backfired at them with many speculate that the actress simply intends to blackmail Depp. They are claiming that blackmailing the actor has no basis and would not be beneficial for them, if true, according to E! News.
