The world's oldest man took the Guinness World Record title and shared with the world his insights on how to get to his own age.

Salustiano Sanchez-Blazquez took the title when he is 112 years old, after an older gentleman in Japan had passed away at the age of 116, Jiroemon Kimura. The new title holder was born in 1901 in Spain and now lives in Grand Island, New York.

When interviewed, Sanchez-Blazquez told the Guinness World Records officials that he "does not feel he has accomplished anything special because he happens to be living longer than other men."

The oldest man alive has two sons, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Guinness reports that they are happy and proud of their ancestor who can remember the days when the 18th century began.

Misao Okawa, a woman in Japan, has become the oldest person alive in the world after Kimura had passed away. She is the third oldest verified Japanese person ever.
