Deadpool Sequel Experiences Ups and Downs

The hype for the much-awaited sequel was not entirely quenched by the outstanding performance of the movie as buzz with its development is still very much active.

Fans who watched and followed the first Deadpool movie knows that a sequel was teased in the after-credits scene, as well as basically namedropping another comic book character closely associated with Deadpool, the infamous Cable. This built the current huge fan-base and hype for the development of the sequel. But it looks like the Deadpool Sequel movie is hitting rocky shores as Deadpool director Tim Miller leaves the picture.

It appeared that creative differences between Miller and Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds caused the former to leave, disagreeing with the direction and the tone of the movie's sequel. Candid interviews and statements from the director imply that the break-up between the two was amicable, but nonetheless we won't be seeing Miller behind the camera for the sequel anymore. Miller was also in-charge of the creative special effects that made the tone of the first Deadpool movie unique. So far, there are no confirmed news yet of any replacement for Miller to direct the sequel, but Reynolds as one of the producers, as well as the team behind the Deadpool sequel, is still intact.

Moving on to speculations, it appears another comic book superhero named Domino is going to be part of the movie sequel. Sources tell Collider that several notable actresses have been testing for the role of Domino. Names surfacing include Sofia Boutella, Lizza Caplan, Sylvia Hoeks, Sienna Miller, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Stephanie Sigman, Kelly Rohrbach, Eve Hewson, Ruby Rose and Mackenzie Davis. There may be more actresses in the running for the role, but in this manner fans can try and imagine their own version of Domino with the actresses mentioned. As to finding out whether all these speculations are true or not, fans will have to wait till January of 2018 when the sequel is speculated to be released.
