Tesla Model 3 Details: 2017 Delivery On Schedule; Self-Driving Prototype Spotted During Solar Roof Event

While the whole world was a buzz about Elon Musk's latest world-changing product solar roof tiles during an event a few days ago. One little gem was actually spotted during the even that caught the attention of the auto industry; the Tesla Model 3 prototype.

From the looks of the car, there is no doubt that the car will deliver on its 2017 production promise. The fun looking silver sedan looks like a totally finished car and looks like the same prototype that has been spotted in the company's photo shoot.

The Tesla Model 3 has some pretty amazing specs and features. According to Tesla, this beast can go from zero to 60 in under 6 seconds. Pretty neat, for a car that runs on electricity. It can go 215 miles per charge and has the Tesla Autopilot Hardware.

Another thing that the Model 3 boasts of is the car has a 5-star safety rating. Which means that the model 3 will most likely be equipped with the latest safety technology for safe driving.

The Model 3 will also be Tesla's cheapest model and will most likely retail at about $35000. Most Tesla models will set you back at least $70000, so that will make it double the price of the model 3.

The Model 3 news comes on the heels of Tesla's new solar roof tiles for homes, another innovative product from the company that prides itself in pushing the boundaries of energy efficient products.

The solar roof tiles not only look good; it might even look better than the ordinary roof tiles homes currently have right now. The roofing will come in different designs like slate glass tile, Tuscan glass tile, textured glass tile, and smooth glass tile.

Tesla's beautiful roof tiles come with some drawbacks like a 2 percent loss of efficiency. Although Elon Musk and his team are currently working to get it above normal efficiency.

The Solar Roof tiles should be available by 2017. This would also be the start of the Model 3's production.
