OnePlus 4 Specification Rumors: Snapdragon 830, 8GB RAM, 21 MP Camera, and Quad Resolution

Just months after releasing the OnePlus 3, Chinese upstart company OnePlus is already rumored to be developing its next generation Smartphone, the OnePlus 4. OnePlus, founded in 2013, found its niche in the market by offering quality budget Smartphone.

The excitement for the upcoming OnePlus 4 can be attributed to the success of the OnePlus series. Released in June 2016, the OnePlus 3 received positive reviews from critics and users alike. Wired gave the OnePlus 3 a rating of 7/10 stating that the device has "a great price for the premium specs and build." Techradar, on its review, concluded that the performance of the OnePlus 3 is comparable to the leading Smartphones available in the market such as the iPhone6S, Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC10, and LG G5, but the Chinese brand can be purchased at almost half the price.

Speculations about the OnePlus 4 specifications are already flying. Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, hinted that the OnePlus 4 would likely include a headphone jack in response to a survey he ran on Twitter. Techtime postulates that the OnePlus 4 will have an improved display and enhanced battery life. According to the specs sheet from GSM Arena, the OnePlus 3 has 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 820 chip. This means that the OnePlus 4 will probably sport a Snapdragon 830 and 8GB RAM. Also, the OnePlus 4 will likely include a 21 MP camera and a Quad resolution of 2550x1440 pixels. Although these predictions are without basis and cannot be confirmed at the moment, the history improvement of the OnePlus series is a good indication that the OnePlus 4 will definitely surpass its predecessors.

Also rumored to be in the pipeline is the OnePlus 3 Plus, a larger version of the OnePlus 3. The OnePlus 3 Plus is likely to be equipped with Snapdragon 821 processor and 6 GB of RAM. The OnePlus 4 is expected to hit the market in April or May 2017 amid much demand.
