Pokémon Go Goes Going For Daily Quests And Bouses On Halloween Event

Niantic is riding the regained albeit short-lived hype of the Pokémon Go Halloween Event with the official announcement of daily quests and bonuses as new features.

Pokémon Go, the popular mobile app made by Niantic, pulled an overnight success with the introduction of their first in-game event during last week's Halloween time. Last week, players had the opportunity to catch rare Ghost-type and Halloween-themed Pokémon, as well as several bonuses including a discount on the distance players, had to walk with their buddy Pokémon for extra candies. This drew a significant boost in revenues for Niantic as it caused a spike in the number of players.

With the evident success of the in-game event, Niantic is now planning to dish out daily quests to encourage players to keep on playing the game. A report from Techcrunch shows that the more Pokémon Go players play, the more they are rewarded. Every first time a player swipes a Pokéstop or catches a Pokémon each day, they get 500xp and 600 stardust. Yes, Stardust will now be obtainable from Pokéstops with the introduction of this new daily quest system.

The new quest system will also be following the current streak system of swiping Pokéstops where players get more items for every fifth different Pokéstop swiped. This time around, if a player swipes a Pokéstop and catches a Pokémon for each day of the week, they get rewarded with 2,400 stardust, 2000xp, and more items from that Pokéstop.

The Pokéstop system currently available for players encouraged players to walk several distances in order to get the bonus items from the fifth different Pokéstop within the chain. The new quest system will not only encourage players to walk, but is geared to keep players playing daily.

Currently, there has yet been an official announcement as to when this new system update will be released, which can be room for Niantic to finalize the details of the quest system and potentially make changes in the days to come.
