‘Prison Break’ Season 5 News, Update: Lincoln To Rescue Michael Schofield from ISIS Control!

Nine years after the concluded finale of "Prison Break" Season 4, the once highly acclaimed television series returns in April of 2017. Following the heroic death of principal protagonist Michael Schofield, the story begins with the revelation of his survival and his mixed-up with an ISIS terrorist group in a Yemeni prison.

In Season 5, the two chief protagonists from the previous series switch places as the elder brother Lincoln Burrows now attempts a mad rescue mission in the remote black-listed Arab country. Many of the previous actors will reprise their roles including Schofield's romantic pair Sarah Tancredi, his best friend Fernando Sucre, and the notorious Fox River felon T-Bag.

According to the story published by Game Guide, there is a strong possibility that Michael Schofield will reunite with his estranged son from a prematurely ended romance with Sarah Tancredi. However, the storyline also hints on the complete transformation of the apocryphal Schofield, due largely in part of his nine years of incarceration overseas.

"Prison Break" 5 certainly derives its setting from the current tensions between the Western world and the Middle East. But there is more to the politically-charged thriller than its catchy setting. In a chronicle by ITech Post, the Fast and Furious movie franchise has lent its theme for the Season 5's gripping nine-episode storyline.

Season 5 of Prison Break is centered on the 'strength of family ties' prevailing over extreme struggles. Furthermore, rumors also circulate about a number of exhilarating car chase scenes throughout the series.

Interestingly, "Prison Break" is not the only big title that hits the television this coming 2017. The long-running series from History Channel called "Vikings" also opens part 2 of its 4th Season in April. It took nearly a decade for "Prison Break" to make its comeback, and fans are looking forward to the intriguing storyline facelift.
