‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ News, Updates: Peter Quill To Finally Meet His Father? Film Returns With An Exciting Twist!

Star Lord is back in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" with a story better than ever. The film is an upcoming superhero movie created by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Motion Picture.

The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is the sequel to the first movie that hit theaters in 2014. Chris Pratt will return as Peter Quill also known as Star Lord. Also, this will be the fifteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

Zoey Saldana will reprise her role as Gamoras, while, Dave Bautista will return as Drax. In addition, Vin Diesel is back as Groot and Bradley Cooper will return as Rocket, Cinema Blend reported.

They also reported that the new Guardians movie will be set two months after the first film. They explained that they have travel the cosmos while struggling to keep their team intact.

Marvel has been quiet in the plot details to avoid leaking spoilers. They explained the team is set to help Peter Quill learn his true parentage.

While waiting for the film's release, fans can watch "Guardians of the Galaxy Animated Series" which takes place after the first film ended. The animated series connects itself to the ending of the film, where they found out that Quill is not a hundred percent human.

They reported that the movie will not be connected to the Marvel Universe's franchise. They also added that some characters who have not appeared on Marvel Universe may do so in the series.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will focus on the mysterious orb. There will also be a reunion between Quill's father and the famous Star Lord. Fans still have to find out if this will be a good or horrifying reunion, Game and Guide reported.

They also reported that "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will be released on 3D and IMAX on May 5, 2017 in North America, while United Kingdom will have an early viewing on April 28, 2017. They said that the film began its principal photography in Pinewood Atlanta Studios early this year.
