For a lot of fans of the "Jane the Virgin" series, Jane's dad, Rogelio Dela Vega (Jamie Camil) is a pretty likable guy. Even though he can get a bit too full of himself from time to time, he is one of the favorites in the show.
He is very protective of those he loves and is quite a talented telenovela actor too. Too bad, his love life is not turning out the way he wants to. Not only has his marriage failed but Xo Villanueva (Andrea Navedo) and him also parted ways because of him wanting more kids while she does not.
However, things might take a turn for him in "Jane the Virgin" season 3. Rogelio will be seeking the help of a professional matchmaker named Darcy Factor (Justina Machado).
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, actor Jamie Camil talked more about it. "The character of Rogelio, Jaime's character, comes to meet up with me because he's looking for somebody and then little things happen between Jaime and I," he said.
He further hinted that something might blossom between the two. "The relationship between her character and mine will be funny, as you could expect and it's gonna be great," he elaborated.
It was by International Business Times that Darcy's character is quite protective of her female clients. She is a control-freak and all-business when she talks to Rogelio. However, regardless of all these, Rogelio being his charming Rogelio self, will immediately break her rules much to her dismay. But it seems like even for a woman like Darcy, Rogelio proves to be irresistible as he will be given another chance.
Expect more guest stars to arrive in "Jane the Virgin" season 3. Kelly Rutherford from "Gossip Girl" was recently cast as a high-profile publisher that will hire Jane as her second assistant. "Jane The Virgin" season 3 airs every Monday at 9 PM ET on The CW.
