Kate Middleton, Prince William Branded 'Shallow Celebrities;' Queen Elizabeth Snubs Bishop Who Accused Royals of Being 'Philanderers'

A republican bishop Pete Broadbent made a name by branding the royals in an insulting manner that has not been favorable to Queen Elizabeth's ears. A 64-year-old bishop who specifically branded Kate Middleton and Prince William as "shallow celebrities" is the next in line to take charge of Queen's royal diocese.

According to INQUISITR, the ex-Labour Councilor will be the temporary Bishop of London as Dr. Richard Chatres retires in February. Broadbent will maintain the position until a permanent successor is chosen. The Queen has been viewed as a snub, asking Dr. Chatres to stay in his role as the Dean of the Chapel's Royal until a new bishop is a named.

The monarch was opposed to Broadbent taking over the position, after he spoke negatively not only towards Kate Middleton and Prince William but also of her son, Prince Charles. The bishop allegedly referred to the latter as "Big Ears" while labeling the royal family to be "philanderers". A church insider stated that it will be a very embarrassing situation for the Queen if the overlooking of royal worship has to be handed over to an opponent of the monarchy.

Broadbent, a bishop who made his opposition to the royals has been known to the public on many occasions. He stated once that the royalty's foundation is built on corruption and sexism. For the past years, he remarked about the member of the royals in social media. He also termed Princess Diana a "porcelain doll."

As Evening Standard stated, way back in 1312, the Dean oversees worship in the palace and in major events that senior royal take part in, such as the Cenotaph ceremony. The Bishop and Dean had been the same person since 1748. Broadbent even claims that the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will not last seven years and the couple will be "set up to fail by the gutter press"

After writing on Facebook about the engagement of Kate and the Prince, he is temporarily suspended in 2010. London Tory MP David Burrows, the chairman of the Conservative Christian Fellowship noted that he felt Broadbent, though passionate about his faith, must drop his political party views and those who opposed to the monarchy.

Meanwhile following 11 years, Dr. Chatres announces his retirement and the Queen expressed her wishes that he stayed on being as Dean. Broadbent delivers a brief statement about the subject, implying through text messages that the royals had no interest in meeting him yet.

The royal family may not beloved by all but they beloved by many. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton demonstrated that they are not certainly "shallow celebrities." The couple, along with William's brother Prince Harry, is also sure to do their part by being active in advocacy roles for various charities and representing the royal family.
