'Dead Rising 4' Release Date, Gameplay & Updates: Campaign Has No Multiplayer Mode; Game To Eventually Come On PS4

Capcom's new zombie game is arriving smack in the middle of holiday season. The undead slay ride for "Dead Rising 4" starts in December for Xbox One and PC. However, there are reports that claim the game will not have a multiplayer function.

"Dead Rising 4" was announced during Microsoft's E3 press conference and fans are happy to know that the game will be released on December 6 for Xbox One and PC. It is worth mentioning that the game was initially exclusive to Windows 10 on PC. However, recent reports claim that Microsoft will make the game available for PlayStation 4 and Steam as reported by International Business Times.

Moreover, "Dead Rising 4" is developed by Capcom in partnership with Microsoft, hence fans will be able to play the game first on Xbox One and Windows 10. However, the exclusive status of "Dead Rising 4" on PC will only last for 90 days, while the console will have one year. This means that the upcoming zombie game will eventually come out for PlayStation.

In addition, there are reports that claim "Dead Rising 4" will not feature multiplayer mode in the campaign. It doesn't end there, Capcom also got rid of the series' trademark campaign time limit feature. The gameplay producer, David McAnerin explained what caused them to ditch these beloved features. "We want to make sure we really focus on telling Frank's story," he stated. "We think he's a really interesting character. It's really exciting to bring him back."

Although we have lost campaign multiplayer mode in "Dead Rising 4" there is a separate four-player co-op mode that is inspired by the game's original Infinity mode. Looking back, Infinity mode allows players to measure how long they can survive. Now we have the new four-player co-op mode that will let us learn about the backstories of the four characters found in Infinity mode as reported by Pc Power Play.

Capcom definitely made a lot of changes in "Dead Rising 4," some may be good, or bad. The only way to find out is to get your hands on the game on December 6, 2016. Stay tuned to Jobs & Hire for more updates on Capcom's hit zombie slaying game.
