‘Jessica Jones’ Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Updates: Nuke Likely to Return as New Villain

Fans expect a new villain to go against their heroine in the upcoming "Jessica Jones" Season 2 sequel.  There are indications that Will Simpson or Nuke (portrayed by Wil Traval) is the top choice for the next villain.

According to Screen Rant, David Tennant's Killgrave was a laudable evil adversary in Season 1 and his outstanding performance as anti-hero will be hard to replicate.  But his underling, Nuke seems fit for the job in "Jessica Jones" Season 2.

The Nuke came under the powerful influence and control by the villain Kilgrave and was forced to do the task of killing Trish Walker, Jessica's adoptive sister. Fortunately, Jessica was able to prevent Nuke from killing Trish.

Comic Vine reports that Nuke tried to make amends and become close to Trish, eventually becoming her lover in the process. He then teamed up with Jessica and with his skills as a former military operations, he offered his help to catch Kilgrave.

Jessica wanted to capture Kilgrave but Will had other ideas, he wanted him dead. Their differences in the method of confronting Kilgrave made their relationship untenable. Nuke attempted to bomb Kilgrave's house that had innocent people in it. Jessica warned Kilgrave of the assassination plan so he escaped, detonated the bomb and badly injured Will in the process.

The  seriously injured Will went back to his old military unit to get medication and took pills that regenerated his strength. But he overdosed and was violently transformed into a menacing rogue that murdered people. Jessica and Trish were able to restrain him but Nuke escaped and was not heard of again in season 1.

With this background in mind, the storyline of "Jessica Jones" Season 2 will surely dwell on the interaction of Jessica with her adoptive sister, Trisha. Jessica is aware of the past love relationship between Will and Trisha and this will definitely be a factor if Will comes back as the new villain in the next episode expected to air in 2018.
