'Indiana Jones 5' News & Updates: Fans To Have A Long Wait For Sequel; Shia Lebouf Bids Goodbye To Film?

Fans of Indi would have to wait longer for "Indiana Jones 5." Actor Shia Lebouf might not return for the film's sequel.

Producer Frank Marshall explained that the movie's script is still not finished. In fact, it is still in the thinking period.

Cinemablend reported that fans of the film have nothing to worry about because 5th sequel is due on July 19, 2019. They explained that the pre-production of the film will probably start in 2017 up to 2018.

The site also reported that Marion Jones, played by Karen Allen, is not sure to return. Producer Frank Marshall explained that he does not get involved until the script is established.

Actor Shia Lebouf is also not certain to be returning in the series. In "Indiana Jones And the Crystal Skull," Lebouf played Mutt Williams, the unknown son of Indiana Jones.

"Though Shia Lebouf seemed to be the perfect actor to take over the Indiana Jones franchise, the career path he chose over the years makes it impossible for him to continue playing the role. Warner Bros. even thinks that Lebouf is too big of a risk for "Suicide Squad," the site stressed.

"It's unlikely that Disney, a more reserved production company, would progress with Shia Lebouf. Whether, this will affect the involvement of Karen Allen remains to be seen," they concluded.

According to Movie Web, Harrison Ford only agreed to Disney to reprise his role as Indiana Jones in "Indiana Jones 5"under two conditions. Ford wanted Steven Spielberg to direct the film and David Koepp to write the script.

The legendary actor said that he always through that there was an opportunity to do another. However, he does not want to do it without Steven Spielberg and a really good script. He added that he was happy to have both.

Jobs & Hire reported that age was not a problem with Harrison Ford who will be part of the "Blade Runner" sequel. The site also reported that before the announcement Tom Hanks, as well as, Bradley Cooper, Robbert Pattinson and Chris Pratt were being considered for the role of Indi in "Indiana Jones 5." But they can not still beat the original "Indiana Jones," Harrison Ford.
