GMA Anchor Ginger Zee Engaged to WNBC Correspondent Ben Aaron: 'I'm The Luckiest Girl in The World!'

Good Morning America's weekend weather anchor Ginger Zee announced her engagement with long-term boyfriend WNBC correspondent Ben Arron outside New York City's Lincoln Center, Wednesday afternoon.

Born Ginger Zuidgeest, Zee told the media that she was very pleased to share the good news to the world, even adding that the place where her boyfriend bent his knee to propose was the exact same spot where the two of them enjoyed their first date together.

"I had no idea!" the 32-year-old meteorologist told GMA. "It was 2:30 p.m.- I had workout clothes on and the construction crew working on the fountain burst into applause-so cute!"

Ginger Zee continued that Aaron, 31, actually hid the ring inside a banana pudding container, thus, she was not expecting anything other than simply eating the sweet treat, which she considers as their favorite sweet tooth goodie ever since they shared one after eating out together for the first time.

"We had it on our first date, and actually meet at the fountain often after work," Zee said. "So meeting there and banana pudding are very normal. I couldn't even open the box I was so shaky and crying with happiness."

Later on, the GMA weather reporter shared that she never laughs quite hard with anyone else other than Aron, and she has always considered the man as the true love of her life.

Elated, Ginger Zee said, "My heart is so full! I really feel like I'm the luckiest girl in the world."

The newly-engaged couple has not yet spilled their marriage plans or their projected date to exchange their wedding vows.

Ginger Zee attending Valparaiso University and has worked for several other stations including WYIN-TV, Wood-TV, and WEYI-TV, before finally landing a regular position in Good Morning America. She has a degree in meteorology, and is a certified AMS broadcaster.
