One of the latest fashion trends this year is Corset. Although traditionally, it has been used a lot of times by the ancient people and royalties. As of today, a lot of showbiz personalities really do loves to wear this thing just to show fashion and to give a good shape for their bodies. But some woman, like Emma Watson, doesn't want to wear this thing, but why?
Emma Watson is currently leading the famous Disney Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast where the timeline of the movie is set during the vintage time. Traditionally, during that era, the corset was famously used by the woman.
A corset is a thing to be worn around the belly of a woman, tightened and tied in a knot, to show more of the physical aspects of a woman. Meanwhile, Emma Watson refuses to wear a corset even if the gown of Belle in the original Beauty and the Beast, requires wearing a Corset. Emma Watson has her own reasons why.
According to Allure, Emma Watson refuses to wear a Corset because she wants to freely move, and a corset will limit her physically. Belle has the image of being dependent on other people especially men and she wants to change that image.
She coordinated with the writer to apply some sort of changes about Belle's character. She wants Belle to be fully independent. She also includes some physical activities like Horseback riding to show that Belle is not that kind of woman who depends on her decision on other people.
Belle is odd, and Emma Watson really did show that. Emma Watson can be considered odd for a famous celebrity who does not want to wear a corset. As for this, people and fans do hope that Emma Watson can justify the Character of Belle in this Disney movie.
