Donald Trump To Appoint Sylvester Stallone As NEA Chairman?

On January 20, 2017, Donald Trump will officially reside in the White House and perform his duty as the 45th US President. But for the past several days he was busy choosing top members of his administration. The latest in the list includes action legend Sylvester Stallone as Chairman of the National Endowment for Arts (NEA).

Really?

According to Los Angeles Times, the president-elect has been eying the man behind Vietnam War veteran "John Rambo" and legendary heavyweight champ "Rocky Balboa." Stallone makes no secret that he and Trump share a close friendship. Both men share a mutual respect and regarding how Stallone perceive Trump, the 45th president is viewed as a 'larger than life character.'

But as to who Stallone vouched for during the 2016 election, he kept his chosen candidate a secret. Regardless of his own political inclination, his camaraderie with the president-elect remains intact.

However, a separate report by Canoe states that Trump's White House spokespersons have not yet confirmed this rumor. The Republican National Committee representative told Fox News that "no decision has been made yet."

Chairman Rambo Balboa

Knowing Trump's position in several civil affairs, he is openly hostile to science (particularly the holistic ecological sphere). As reported by Jobs & Hire, the Trump administration has been responsible for antagonizing established scientific institutions like the NASA Earth Science and Environmental Protection Agency.

But is the hypothetical appointment of 'Rambo Balboa' a similar gesture of disdain for art? Some analysts describe it aptly as 'a shot in the arm that the art industry needs.' In other words, modern art could use some 'steroid funding.'

Curiously, Stallone makes no secret that he also has political aspirations. But it only takes a disapproving wife with an "Are you crazy?!" type of discouragement to forego the notion. He could have followed his fellow macho rival Arnold Schwarzenegger who eventually became California's "Governator." Until then, one can only imagine how Chairman "Rambo Balboa" could handle policy-making (or taking a haymaker from the disgruntled public).
