With 3 million followers on Instagram and 2 million subscribers on YouTube, there’s no doubt that Gutierrez has the talent to be the face of Maybelline. Hence, the “beauty boy” stated on Teen Vogue that he had always been fascinated with makeup. "As a child, I would watch my mom get ready for work and just sit there for hours watching her transform. However, it wasn't until much later on that I really started to dabble in makeup myself," he added.
Maybelline launches a mascara campaign with Gutierrez along with Instagram beauty blogger Shayla Mitchell (@Makeupshayla). The campaign entitled "That Boss Life" featured the two vloggers who achieved a totally glamorous experience with just applying the "Big Shot" mascara.
More so, Allure stated that the campaign didn't fail to miss its target message as they want people to know that whatever gender they are, makeup is for them.
