Last week's "Resurgence" episode already hinted on what's about to come this week's Sunday evening. We saw the reappearance of Sarah (Annabelle Stephenson) into Daniel's life, which led the latter to question his upcoming wedding with Emily. We also saw Nolan (Gabriel Mann) pulling his own revenge exploit against PR expert Bizzy (guest star Ana Ortiz), who has outed him and has caused a rift between him and his father. Nolan's effective revenge ensued when he found out that Bizzy apparently has some dirty laundry on her own: she is cheating on her husband. Aside from Nolan's revenge, there is also the resurfacing of Sarah in Daniel's (Joshua Bowman) life. Sarah is a past flame, who still has feelings for Daniel, and Charlotte (Chris B. Allen) as well as Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) is using this to stop Emily and Daniel's wedding. And for the most part, we can see that their plan is succeeding when we saw Daniel almost kissing Sarah while watching the Fourth of July fireworks. In a sneak peek to the all-new Revenge season 3 episode 8, titled "Secrecy," we can see that everyone in the Hamptons elite are enjoying their time at Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Daniel's wedding shower. Nolan and even Margaux (Karine Vanasse) can be seen among the crowd, welcoming the couple as they walk to the center. Victoria can be heard saying, "Gather around everyone." Then, we can see everyone having a toast for the soon-to-wed couple. But the preview reveals that Daniel will be having a hard time and will start to question if he is still pursuing the wedding now that Sarah is back in his life. "I don't think I could go through this wedding," he tells Sarah. The promo clip then shifts and shows Emily crying. However, at the end we can see that Emily is willing to fight for her wedding, or her master plan to takedown the entire Grayson clan will be for nothing. Meanwhile, showrunner Sunil Nayar told TVLine recently that the upcoming episodes will be a major challenge for Emily. "Emily's quest for vengeance will always be alive, but there's going to be a major shift - not only in her approach to it, but in other people's approaches to her," Nayar said. "Suffice it to say, gloves are coming off and everyone's getting into the ring." And to make it all worse, there is going to be someone from the past who will reappear in tonight's episode, and this character will blindside everyone.
