Predictions for 2014: Vikings predict mankind's end on February 22, 2014

Predictions for 2014 -- the incoming year appears to be filled with Republican domination, economic collapses and yet another 'end of the world' scare, according to several predictions made for 2014.

Many people are predicting the advent of another World War while others bypass international dispute and forecast the end of the world as we know it. One of the most likely predictions that have recently gained popularity is a possible economic collapse for the United States.

Another prediction for 2014 that's quickly gaining popularity is the anticipated rise in popularity for former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin and the Republicans. For progressives and liberals, this could very well mark the end of the world.

Even after the big Mayan flop in 2012 when the world did not, in fact, end in December 21 that year, predictions for the world's end still did not stop there. Predictions for the end of the world were not made by Nostradamus, whom people seem to believe has predicted the end of mankind practically every year. A few people have miscontrued this passage by Nostradamus, however, and used it as a means to create a connection between Comet ISON and Pope Francis.

Nostradamus' passage reads, "There will appear towards the NorthNot far from Cancer the bearded star:Susa, Siena, Boeotia, Eretria,The great one of Rome will die, the night over."

A few analysts believe that the first line of the passage refers to North Korea, one of the few countries that could reasonably, likely trigger another World War. The "bearded star" referred to by Nostradamus could be Comet ISON, the likes of which may or may not collide with the sun in the future. Catholic Pope Francis XVI could be the "great one of Rome" Nostradamus might be referring to.

Surprisingly enough, Pope Francis already has a prophecy for the end of the world connected to him. Saint Malachy was said to have prophesized Francis as the last pope and he would later on earn the name Petrus Romanus or Peter the Roman.

The Vikings' had thought along the same wavelength and also predicted the end of mankind for 2014. The ancient race of people prophesized "Ragnarok," which is what they call Armageddon.

After careful calculation, analysts claim that the Vikings may have predicted Ragnarok to happen around February 22, 2014. If the words of an ancient race could be believed in, then this date would not be allowing much leeway for producers to finish wrapping up "Thor 3."

According to the Vikings, Skoll, a wolf god, will consume the sun and Hai, his brother, will devour the moon.

Political predictions for 2014 are as fun however, as a few authorities think that by muddling in the Middle East, President Obama could start World War 3 if terrorists get their hands on nuclear weapons.

Although U.S. stock markets have been continuously showing good results, a few financial experts made their own predictions for 2014, saying that January 2014 may see a vicious stock market crash.
