NBA Rumors 2014: Chicago Bulls Stars Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah Wants Carmelo Anthony To Move To Windy City

Carmelo Anthony has been losing his patience as the New York Knicks continue to pile up their losses, creating speculations that the superstar forward is now leaning towards leaving the Big Apple this summer.

Previous reports indicated that Anthony will consider signing with the Chicago Bulls in the offseason, and this early, their top two players are already reportedly expressing strong interest in teaming up with the All-Star forward in Chicago.

According to ESPN insider Chris Broussard, Bulls center Joakim Noah made a pitch to Anthony during the 2014 All-Star weekend in Chicago.

Sources indicated that Noah told Anthony to join the Bulls if he wants to win an NBA title, with the All-Star center also adding that he won't get that chance in New York or in Los Angeles with the Lakers.

Anthony allegedly told Noah the he likes how the Bulls are playing despite the injuries that hit the team, while also adding that Derrick Rose is his son's favorite player.

ESPN reported:

"The sources said Noah told Anthony something to this effect: You can go to Los Angeles, but if you really want a ring, if you really want your legacy to be about winning, you should come to Chicago.

Anthony responded by telling Noah that he admires how hard the Bulls play and how hungry they are. Anthony also told Noah, according to the sources, that Derrick Rose is his son's favorite player."

Aside from Noah, Broussard also revealed that Rose himself is planning to make a pitch to Anthony when he hits free agency after the current season.

"I'm told D-Rose would love for Melo to join Bulls as well. If Bulls ask Rose to help recruit, he will," Broussard posted on his Twitter account.

The Bulls will have to make roster moves in order to be in the running for Anthony in July. They could create more cap space by amnestying veteran forward Carlos Boozer, who is set to earn $16.8 million next season.

And if the Bulls can also find a taker for Mike Dunleavy, they could offer a contract starting at $18 million per year. It is still lower than what he'll get if he decides to stay in New York, but Anthony is reportedly willing to take a paycut if it would give him the best chance of winning his first championship ring.
