Miki Howard's drug history has followed the singer for most of her career, starting fom her marriage to Eddie Phelps in 1989.
It was said that Miki Howard's drug problem began during her marriage to Eddie Phelps, who turned abusive and reportedly blackballed her in the music industry for several years after frequent outbursts with Howard's record companies.
However, when the couple divorced in 1996 after years of separation, Miki Howard's drug problem improved after going into detox in 2000. The singer has been clean since then.
However this time around, another controversial issue has hit their family and this time it's not Miki Howard's drug problem.
Howard's son from her first marriage with fellow Side Effect member Augie Johnson, Brandon, has always shared many similarities with late legendary pop singer Michael Jackson. Brandon, who was born in 1981 and also a singer, was often aske questions targeting his many similarities to the famous singer.
A website called FilmOn.com recently claimed that there were DNA results proving that Brandon's real father was indeed Jackson.
However, unlike Miki Howard's drug problem, it was discovered that this report was fabricated by the website.
There still remains a fraction of people who speculate that Brandon may be Jackson's child, simply owing to the fact that they had almost similar features.
Spectators can only continue the guess the truth.
