McDonald's Giving Out Free Coffee on Breakfast for Two Weeks

McDonald's is giving out a cup of free McCafe on a limited time starting on March 31 till April 13. The free coffee will be offered during breakfast hours, announced by the fastfood giant. McDonald's promo will be available nationwide.

The plan of the largest hamburger chain in the world, McDonald's, is to compete against other joints that caters to the breakfast individuals. McDonald's Friday announcement , gave details on the promo, which includes a small cup of their McCafe being offered for free, by participating U.S. outlets.

The hamburger chain declared that this will be their first time to offer free coffee, since its debut in the market in 2009. McCafe was offered together with other drinks and ice coffees during its debut.

A significant portion of the company's operation comes from its breakfast enthusiasts, providing 20% of their entire U.S. sales. The promo was announced following the release of Taco Bell's waffle taco.

Breakfast serving companies like, McDonald's Corp. Starbucks, Taco Bell, are actively competing for a larger part of the growing breakfast market. People nowadays are buying breakfast on the go in an increasing rate, urging these companies to upgrade their offers.

McDonald' is still in the leading end of the breakfast consuming market, since it started serving breakfast in 1975. One of its major product line that has been commanding the lead is their Egg McMuffin. Other fast food chain also followed serving breakfast since then, with Taco Bell as the latest, releasing their breakfast menu just this Thursday.

The launch of McDonald's free coffee indicates that the company is still doing its best to retain their commanding lead towards the breakfast market. The company still has 31% share from the breakfast market against their competitors making them a force to reckon with. The world's largest hamburger chain still feels comfortable on the top.
