''Shield'' actor arrested for the murder of his wife

Actor Michael Jace, also known for his role in a television series where he played a cop, has been arrested after potentially shooting his wife. The police is currently investigating whether financial burdens or marital issues have caused the suspect to murder his wife.

Jace, who has appeared in the FX series "The Shield," has already been held on a $1 million bail. The reason for that case was his accusal of shooting his wife numerous times after the two had a severe argument in their quiet house in the Hyde Park area in Los Angeles.

The couple had 2 sons, and they were not present during the argument or the murder, although they were present at the house at that time.

The corpse of April Jace, 40, was found in her own home, and the police has also found a gun that belongs to her husband.

"She came home with the kids and then the dispute happened and the shooting happened," detective Vinluan has explained.

The actor has been arrested soon after the shooting. He had called a 911 operator, but it has not become clear yet whether the operator had called him back, or whether he had called the operator for assistance. When police officers arrived, he was walking around his house around 8:30 pm.

"We don't know if he came out of fear or was trying to get out of there," Vinluan has added.

Detectives have the intention of evaluating well 911 calls to identify what exactly has happened that night. Previous domestic violence cases associated with that home have not been reported.

Neighbours have described the couple as loving and dedicated to each other.

"They were just lovely parents," Harding said. "I never heard arguments, I just heard happiness over there.

A possible factor that brought tension into the couple's relationship was financial debt and financial burdens, resulting in loans and bankruptcy filings.
