Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway have shared their enthusiasm for "The Devil Wears Prada" sequel, according to E Online.

Eight years has passed since "The Devil Wears Prada" was released. Emily Blunt who played as Miranda's senior assistant talked about her desire for a sequel.

"I would do it, but only if everyone did it. I don't know why it hasn't been done, but everyone's got to do it," Blunt said.

Anne Hathaway who played Miranda's junior assistant Andy Sachs has also shared her enthusiasm for a second film.

"Wouldn't that be fun? I'd love to do that but I don't know if there is any plan for it," Hathaway said.

Hathaway also shared how Meryl Streep portrayed her role as the ruthless Miranda, Unreality Primetime reported.

"She's fun and super maternal. When I met her she gave me a huge hug and I'm like, 'Oh my god, we are going to have the best time on this. Then she's like, 'Ah sweetie, that's the last time I'm nice to you'," the actress revealed.

The "Les Miserables" actress discussed how Streep gets into the role.

"She then went into her trailer and came out the ice queen and that was really the last I saw of 'Meryl' for months, until we promoted the film," Hathaway said.

Blunt and Hathaway gained praises for their respective roles in "The Devil Wears Prada."  Hathaway's role increased her likeability factor since the actress has usually negative criticisms surrounding her.  The movie was Blunt's first American exposure, according to Bustle.

Blunt has gone a long way since the fashion inspired movie hit. The English actress is currently promoting her new movie "Into The Woods," which is a far cry from "The Devil Wears Prada."

Blunt's latest movie is a fairytale adaptation, which required her to sing.

"My mom always thought I was a good singer, but I think all moms think their kids are good singers. That's why you see these poor disillusioned people auditioning for American Idol," the actress said.

"Into the Woods" opens in theatres on Christmas Day.
