GoPro Hero 5 will reportedly be available in October with better camera features, Bidness Etc reported.

In 2014, GoPro sold a total of 2.4 million cameras and the numbers resulted to speculations that a new unit will be released soon. Previous models have been released in the same month and this year may not be an exception.  If the rumored release date will push through, GoPro Inc. will have eight months to prepare for the launch of the new unit.

Users complained about the GoPro Hero 4's 30 frames per second. Reports say that to address the issues the GoPro Hero 5 features 60 frames per second camera.  As with the improved fps, the upcoming device can reportedly record 8K quality videos instead of the usual 4K quality.

Aside from that, there are also speculations that the GoPro Hero 5 will enable 3D technology. Advanced features for capturing images may be added in the new model. The camera will reportedly sport a 2800 mAh battery to support the enhanced technology and it can last 1.5 times longer than the previous model.

To improve image quality underwater, GoPro Hero 5 will reportedly have a 60 meter range. This is definitely better than Hero 4's 40 meter range. In addition, reports mentioned that GoPro Hero 5 will come out with Bluetooth 4.0, according to Ecumenical News.

With all these advanced features, the new model might appear bigger than its predecessors. GoPros are often used by adventurous photographers who are fond of physical activities such as biking, skateboarding or jumping off cliffs. The most affordable GoPro is only 3 ounces, which makes it easier for the users to strap it into their body or accessories, Syracuse reported.

The ability of the camera to capture an "entire hemisphere" makes it convenient to take perfect shots. The photographer can just point it to the preferred direction and there is no need to adjust the aim. Bright lights are also not a problem since GoPro can still take a good quality image despite the lighting situation.

As for the price, GoPro Hero 5 will reportedly be sold from $400 to $500.
