The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta for Xbox One was launched on Aug. 26, which was a week after the release date for PS4. It has been reported that Xbox One beta version had encountered some code issues.
Microsoft said they were aware of the situation "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" was having, and they were working on it.
Shortly after, the Xbox Support (1-5) (@XboxSupport) posted an update on Twitter, "Great news! Issues redeeming Black Ops 3 beta codes should now be fixed." "Let us know if we missed your Tweet & you still have questions," the support group added.
There were responses from Xbox One owners that they were still having the problem with "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta code, and the group assisted them in troubleshooting accordingly.
What's quite notable though was the request of some players for an extension because of this issue.
On user who goes by the name BA$ED (@BasedUS) tweeted, "@XboxSupport we better get a extra day..."
MC (@Christy__Creams), another Twitter user, posted, "@XboxSupport is there gonna be a extra day?"
Xbox Support responded that they can't speculate if there would be any, but suggested to get in touch or wait for an update from Activision. There are no words yet from Activision about this request.
The initial reactions were positive from those who were able to log in to the game successfully, according to The Independent. There were new weapons and streaks, special moves and new gameplay.
Meanwhile, recent reports suggested that the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta version in PS4 was one of the biggest multiplayer games ever played on the said console. Millions of gamers reportedly immediately downloaded it when it was launched.
Rob Kostich, Senior VP and General Manager of Call of Duty at Activision Publishing, said that the way the beta was received spoke of the gamers excitement and Treyarch's quality of work, ComingSoon.net reported.
He added that beta was just part of the overall multiplayer experience and of what's coming when "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" full game is released.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is slated to hit the market on Nov. 6.
