Vin Diesel shared on his Facebook page a post thanking the “Fast and Furious” fans for the support that they gave to his character Dominic Toretto and the rest of the cast who all treat each other as family.

The 48-year-old actor said, "The fans of the Fast & Furious SAGA are the best fans in the world. Since I became the Producer in 2008, you have been with me every step of the way... literally giving me feedback that proved invaluable. Thank you. My producing partner Neal would love for me to just sign off on a director, but this is too special a franchise, so these matters have to be very carefully handled. To be clear, NO ONE has been offered to helm “Fast 8” yet... let alone seen a script."

He continued that Universal, the studio from which the “Fast And Furious” franchise is under has been so generous to him by trusting in his vision about the film’s saga. He declared, “I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga."

“I will announce the directors on my next post…”

Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and the late Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner have amassed a large following since they first graced “The Fast and The Furious” in 2001.

US Weekly revealed the world mourned the loss of Paul Walker when he tragically died at the age of 40 in a car crash in November 2013 while filming “Furious 7.”

Cody Walker, his brother stepped in and made it possible to finish some of the scenes that he didn’t get to shoot. The 2015 installment of the “Fast and Furious” franchise, “Furious 7” later served as a tribute to the actor whom Vin Diesel treated and respected as a brother.

Just Jared reported Vin Diesel shared the Facebook post to clarify rumors surrounding the eighth film in the “Fast and Furious” saga, “Fast 8” and to quash speculations that his non approval of a director to helm the movie was the reason why filming has been stalled.
