This new DLC for "Until Dawn" is so good, you're going to play it until dawn.
As reported by Euro Gamer, Sony has announced "Until Dawn: Rush of Blood," a spin-off from the PlayStation 4 horror adventure which will come exclusively to the PlayStation Virtual Reality (VR).
The brief announcement was made during Sony's Paris Games Week 2015 press conference, which unfortunately did not include many details.
As said by Sony Worldwide Studio head Shuhei Yoshida, the "Rush of Blood" will be set on a horror rollercoaster, while also revealing the game's logo.
In a similar note by IGN, "Until Dawn's" developer Supermassive first denied that it was working on an add-on content for the game when the rumor about "Rush of Blood" first came out. But with the announcement now made, obviously the game is now underway which excites fans of this horror title for the PlayStation system.
Supermassive Games first teased the new PlayStation VR piece of DLC in an interview. As reported, the 20 minute section of the game was literally an "on-rails experience."
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, Supermassive executive producer Simon Harris luckily shared more details regarding the game and said, "Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is a descent into madness, taking you on a terrifying roller coaster ride of thrills and scares in a fast-paced, arcade-style shooter."
"We're incredibly excited to be developing for PlayStation VR as this allows us to bring games to PS4 with a level of immersion and involvement never before experienced by players."
Harris elaborated that when they first started working on the "Until Dawn: Rush of Blood," they were still in the middle of development of the main game. However, he then said that the world and characters they were creating would be perfect to expand into new experiences.
He said, "As we established compelling gameplay for VR, we were able to combine that with a journey through many familiar aspects of Blackwood Pines, but from a horrifying new perspective!" Harris further added, "Playing Until Dawn: Rush of Blood in VR is incredibly different to playing games of a similar genre in the traditional method of sitting in front of a TV screen, so we're looking forward to seeing how players react!"
Furthermore, a tester of the game said that it "starts off shooting targets in the snow, then moves toward a house and as you get deeper into the house, enemies start appearing (I believe they were Wendigos)."
"Until Dawn: Rush of Blood" is slated to release in 2016. Watch the video below!
