Microsoft is not known for making great smartphones, but all that could change when they release the Surface Phone. If the rumors of the phone's Specs and features are true, then we can have another contender in the mobile realm.
According to rumors, the device will come with 4 GB of RAM and 64GB of memory for its base unit. A more premium version will feature a whopping 6GB of Ram and 128 GB storage space. But if tech heads think that Microsoft is stopping there, they would be dead wrong as another report suggests a third variant with an even more powerful 8GB of RAM and 512 GB storage space.
If the rumors prove to be true, Microsoft may have the most powerful mobile phone by next year.
Another feature that the Surface Phone is said to have is a fingerprint scanner that will be on the display itself. Microsoft is also said to be focusing on the aesthetics side of things and it will adopt an all metal body, similar to what other premium handsets builds.
The device is said to come with two screen sizes which will be 5.5-inch and 6.0-inch. The more premium models will be the ones getting the large 6.0 display in an attempt to emulate what Apple and Samsung are doing.
The handset will sport a 3000 mAh according to rumors. Which is not bad but is not industry leading standard compared to other high end phones. Hopefully, the actual phone will release with a much larger battery capacity.
The Surface Phone is also muscling up on its camera by featuring a 21-megapixel rear shooter and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. On the software side of things, the device will almost certainly run using the Windows 10 mobile.
The Surface Pro is rumored to release this month or in early 2017.
