"I am king. King Ragnar, that is my name."-- Ragnar Lothbrok continues to mentor his son, Ivar The Boneless in "Vikings" Season 4 part 2. Although, speculation is this is just a ploy for a throne game. Recently, History revealed another trailer which became a huge game changer for the father and sons.
History Channel just recently dropped a new trailer, it features Ragnar looking beaten and gloomy, then seen hanging himself in a tree. And, It's a very intriguing teaser! This is a big turnabout for "Vikings" Season 5, it means a lot for the show's turn of events. It offers a lot of different possibilities.
In a previous report by Jobs & Hire, In "Vikings" Season 4 part 2 Ragnar Lothbrok will supposedly go back to Kattegat. After many years of seclusion, he will urge his sons Ivar The Boneless and Bjorn Ironside to the throne. Especially giving a personal favor to the first. It will continue on until the next "Vikings" Season 5 episodes.
The Old King will take liking to Ivar The Boneless, his favorite son. Even, mentoring him to the throne. In Parent Herald's report on "Vikings" Season 5, it describes Ivar as "this son of Ragnar Lothbrok possesses pathological cruelty. The big question: is Why Ivar?
Specifically, referring to Ragnar Lothbrok's words---"Power. The power of a king." A king needs to have a surmountable power to lead, Ivar the Boneless may be a king's son but he is limited than his brother. In effect, he could just be a puppet to his father's power game in "Vikings" Season 5.
There is a massive chance that Ragnar Lothbrok is really cooking up a ploy, to either keep Ivar The Boneless or Bjorn Ironside king. Regardless, "Vikings" Season 5 will soon air on the big screen. So, watch out how the events will turn out.
