Leah Remini Faces Tom Cruise Scientology Church Head On In ‘Scientology and the Aftermath’

Leah Remini used to be a member of the church where Tom Cruise and other celebrities belong to. However, after a long association with the church, she left disgusted and dissatisfied. Last year, she was in the headlines recalling and lambasting the religion.

She wrote a book, "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology" about the Church of Scientology exposing its errors. The book has earned her threats of lawsuits from the church leadership. However, the "King of Queens" star was not a bit concerned as she works on her latest project - a documentary about the controversial organization. "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath" is already airing despite potential lawsuits.

In 2015, Leah Remini left the church but she was sworn to secrecy of the activities inside the church. However, the actress felt she has the right to talk about it and even published a book. Tom Cruise's religion has the penchant to manipulate.

Leah Remini tells as per The Hollywood Reporter  that the Scientology leaders wanted her to ask Les Moonves of CBS to pull a report about the church from "60 Minutes." She resisted saying that an actress like her has no power to do so. However, she was pressured to do it but failed. Even after her failure, she was still forced to do something. Moonves did not give in.

Inquisitr reported that the Church of Scientology is plotting to sue her because of her show. They did dirty tactics like publicly shaming her. She demanded that the church retracts all their claims against the actress demanding compensation of $1.5 million.

"Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath" is purposed to warn families and to help them get out of the church. She also wants parents to be aware and not allow their children to be taken advantage of.

The actress turned investigate journalist has the authority to talk about Tom Cruise's church because she has been a member for so long. She has the first-hand information and she is an eye-witness against the errors of the church.
