It looks like season 3 of "Rick and Morty" will be featuring more than just a continuation of what happened in season 2 as fans can expect a lot of surprises for them, when the show airs on March 2017. The show will also be going to Hawaii and China.
According to Dan of Geek, "Rick and Morty" creator, Dan Harmon said season 3 will be having 19 episodes. Some of those episodes will be covering the "situation" that the characters find themselves in after season 2.
A big chunk, however, will be used for something else. Harmond didn't reveal what those other things are, so fans of "Rick and Morty" can expect a lot of surprises when the show is finally premiered, which is rumored to be in March 2017.
Though Harmon is targeting for a premiere before the year ends, it's more likely that the show will air in early 2017. The probable month is March, as Mr. Poopybutthole in the end of season 2 that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 wouldn't happen for another year and a half.
What was revealed about the upcoming season, though, is that "Rick and Morty" will be going to Hawaii. And this information came from Harmon himself, saying "It's time to demand that the network allows us to draw the characters going to Hawaii."
Aside from Hawaii, China is also another destination that "Rick and Morty" will be visiting. A tweet from a verified "Rick and Morty" Twitter account is hinting at the possibility of the characters going to China.
The tweet read "Sounds like Jerry's going to China" together with a link that's going to another Tweet about a Chinese resort building a full-size replica of the Titanic. The replica will be simulating hitting the iceberg over and over.
If this is true, it will be exciting to see what kind of episode will this be. Though the show is likely to premiere in 2017, 2016 is not yet done, so there's still some chance they show airs before the year ends.
