On Donald Trump’s War On Science: “It’s A 21st Century Book-Burning”

If there is any objective (or least arguable) reason for hating Donald Trump's 2016 election win, it is the fact that he wages a personal war on science itself. His recent policies are geared towards extreme cases of anti-science hysteria, such as eventually abolishing the Environmental Protection Agency.

The idea of obliterating 'ecological concerns' seems like a laughable concept for many right-minded human beings. Unfortunately, so was the idea of Donald Trump becoming the (technically) most powerful man in the world. And now the unthinkable just happened in 2016, marking what an article from Jobs & Hire would dare call an 'apocalyptic prelude.'

Stonewalling NASA Earth Science

It has been more than half a century since mankind landed on the moon. Sadly, that was the only significant scientific milestone in America's history (or the world's, for that matter).

If it is bad enough that humanity is still stuck on earth, the Trump Administration seemingly does not mind making it worse by contributing to what makes the planet 'uninhabitable'. A report by the New Zealand Herald underscores Donald Trump's alleged promise to cut funding for NASA's earth science research.

Neo-Orwellian Period

So, what's next to Trump Administration's agenda? Banning National Geographic Channel? Forcing citizens to count in Roman numerals? Those examples might be too much of a comical fearmongering to be taken seriously. But then again, it seems anyone can count on the president-elect to do and say a lot of unthinkable things (and even make it happen). In fact, it is also known that one of Donald Trump's political milestones is to terminate the Paris Agreement.

As reported by the New Yorker, almost every key civil minister in Trump's Administration is allegedly a staunch anti-science witch hunter. The new Secretary of Interior and Secretary of Education are elected exactly because of their opposition to mainstream objective school of thought. Unfortunately, only scientists and academics are aware that their very existence is already on the verge of total extinction.
