So, Niantic was not actually joking when they said they will be adding more Pokemon. The software development company just recently released two Gen 2 Pokemon and is said to continue filling up the roster. On top of that, rumor has it that legendary Pokemon will be joining the game too.

Welcome aboard Pichu, Togepi and Christmas Pikachu

Generation 2 Pokemon Pichu and Togepi, plus an additional Christmas Pikachu has been recently added to 'Pokemon GO'. However, these Pokemon will not be available easily on the map for a typical catch as trainers will have to find and hatch them.

Togepi and Pichu were originally introduced in Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver, and these two are not the only Gen 2 Pokemon that will be made available in the game. As guaranteed by Niantic Labs, 'Pokemon GO' will become even bigger with more Gen 2 Pokemon on the way.

Niantic also made a limited edition Christmas Pikachu wearing a festive hat to spread the Christmas vibe across the 'Pokemon GO' universe. Trainers can also customize their Pokemon to have a more Christmassy look and feel as they prepare for the Christmas event. The limited edition Christmas Pikachu will be available until December 29.

Legendary Pokemon on the way?

Although there is still no official confirmation yet, Niantic has always been reassuring in their announcements about expanding the 'Pokemon GO' universe by adding more and more Pokemon. This leaves the fans to speculate about the possible addition of legendary Pokemon aside from the 100 Gen 2 Pokemon that are on the way to fill the roster.

As 'Pokemon GO' continues to expand, fans will also continue to enjoy the fun and experience of the game. The newly added Gen 2 Pokemon are just the beginning of the expansion and players can expect for much more Pokemon to be filling up their collection.

On top of that, players can now play the game with much ease and sophistication as the 'Pokemon GO' Plus electronic device has just been made available in the market. How is the device used? Check out a report by Jobs & Hire.
