Different teams are trying to shake things up in their rosters and the Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons could be doing just that. There are some NBA trade rumors that these two teams could strike a deal before the trade deadline. Rumor has it that John Wall could go to the Pistons while Reggie Jackson and Stanley Johnson go to the Washington Wizards.
According to Bleacher Report, the Wizards are trying to shop Wall and the Pistons are also trying to move Jackson and Johnson to some interested teams. With these players available this trade season, NBA trade rumors are spreading that a trade between these two teams is possible.
It would be a good idea for the Pistons to acquire Wall before the deadline to push for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Pistons are currently the 9th seed in the East just falling behind the Chicago Bulls. If they can acquire a high-caliber point guard like Wall, they could definitely snatch the 8th or 7th seed entering the postseason.
Stanley Johnson has been involved in a few NBA trade rumors lately which is the reason why he could be an available trade piece for the Pistons. But the Wizards would probably want to get more than that and according to the iTech Post, Jackson is also an available piece which could be a replacement for Wall.
The deal would be a valid transaction under NBA trade rules and it could benefit both teams. The Wizards could be rebuilding in the next few years and they could start by letting Wall go and get younger players like Johnson and Jackson.
Wall could take his talents to Detroit and start anew with the Pistons since the Wizards are just doing bad this season. The trade deadline would be on February 23rd and these two teams have a few more weeks to go to make these NBA trade rumors happen.
