A 22-year-old woman has been charged with second degree murder on September 10, after a July 7 incident which involved her pushing her husband off a cliff. The woman in question, named Jordan Lim Graham, could possible face a life term imprisonment if she is convicted or the murder.
In a bizarre turn of events, Graham reported to the police after changing her story several times that she had pushed her husband "fade first" off a cliff, after an argument wherein she told friends that her husband had been having second thoughts about their marriage. They had been wed only eight days before the murder.
In her statement to the FBI, Graham and her husband, 25-year-old Cody Lee Johnson had been arguing as they hiked along Loop Trail area of Glacier Park. Graham says that at a point during the argument, she turned to walk away only to have Johnson grab her in the arm. It was then that she angrily pushed him in the back, leading him to plummet to his death off the cliff.
Now termed the "Glacier Park Murder," recent updates show that the incident is still under investigation, with Graham cooperating with the authorities. However, things had not quite been so in the beginning, with Graham changing version of her stories several times before finally admitting to the truth.
Graham had allegedly told a friend about going to talk to her husband, texting "I'm going to talk to him now," before the murder, thereby indicating a long-standing tension between the newlyweds that had existed even before the argument in Glacier Park. But then, Graham sent an eerie text that baffled investigators: "But dead serious if u don't hear from me at all again tonight, something happened." The text could only obviously mean that Graham had already been anticipating that something was about to happen...to her.
So was the Glacier Park murder a murder in cold blood, or an act of self defense? (Or maybe she might just have not seen the cliff there.)
