Compared to other fuel-run car manufacturers, Tesla's electric-run vehicles has the fewer customers. Despite the number being few, there is still a big problem because supercharging stations are even fewer and cannot meet the full demand of Tesla's car owners.

According to Itechpost, Another cause for this issue is the fact that some customers use the charging slots as their own parking stations, which means that customers wait long just to realize that the vehicle on the slot is not charging but rather just idle. As a means to combat this issue Tesla has changed added a new policy that will impose fine on cars that have stayed longer than required for their Tesla car to charge.

Tesla as a company is now moving to fully Autonomous Vehicles, with the current ones only permitting self-drive in some locations on the highway. Tesla hopes that as soon as this dream is fully realized, cars will be able to take themselves to the charging station and take themselves out when done which will save time for both the owner and other customers.

According to Tesla, the idle fee will apply to all areas regardless of whether or not the supercharger is free. $0.50 dollars will apply to Canada, €0.35 euros for Austria and Belgium, 2.70 Croatian Kuna will apply in Croatia, and 9.50 CZR or Czech Republic Koruna for the Czech Republic, Also, €0.35 euros would apply to Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Spain, and the Netherlands.

The good news is there is a Tesla App that a User can download and install on his/her smartphone. This app's Function is to let the user know the state of his/her car and battery. Once the battery is full the app will notify you immediately.

For every additional minute that the car is left, the idle fee will apply. However, the Company also mentioned that if the car is removed within 5 minutes, the fee is removed. They also added that this procedure was to ensure customer satisfaction and that they hope not to make money from it.
