Janice Dickinson's Bill Cosby Rape Allegations: TV Host And Former Model Accuses Comedian Of Sexual Assault

Janice Dickinson Bill Cosby rape allegations - TV host and model Janice Dickinson has accused Bill Cosby of raping her in 1982. She joins a list of women who have accused the 77-year-old of sexual assault.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, Janice Dickinson voiced her Bill Cosby rape allegations. She said the comedian sexually assaulted her in Lake Tahoe, CA, where he was having a performance.

The 59-year-old said she met Bill Cosby through her agent when she wanted to act on the famous Cosby Show. According to Janice Dickinson, Bill Cosby had called her and promised her a job on The Cosby Show. He allegedly also vowed to assist her in her musical career before he raped her.

Janice Dickinson claims that she had written about the Bill Cosby rape allegation in her autobiography, 'No Lifeguard On Duty: The Accidental Life Of The World's First Supermodel,' which was released in 2002. But she says after the manuscript was sent to publisher HaperCollins, Bill Cosby and his legal team compelled her and the publisher to edit the grimy details of the sexual assault.

"I'm doing this because It's the right thing to do, and it happened to me, and this is the true story," Janice Dickinson said.

"Stifling feelings of rape and my unresolved issued with this incident has drove me into a life of trying to hurt myself because I didn't have counsel and I was afraid," she revealed. "I was afraid of the consequences. I was afraid of being labeled a whore or a slut and trying to sleep my way to the top of a career that never took place."

Janice Dickinson insists that after 32 years of hiding the truth, she is ready to come out. "I want to talk about this now and I want to really support the other women who have gone through this," she said.

Bill Cosby rape allegations first made news in the 2004. However, the charges have resurfaced since comedian Hannibal Buress labeled the veteran actor a rapist last month. Although the Bill Cosby rape allegation has been voiced by over ten different women, he has never been criminally charged. In 2006, Bill Cosby settled a civil suit with a young woman - Andrea Constrand - who claimed he had sexually assaulted her.

Since the Bill Cosby rape allegations made news recently, the actor has chosen to remain silent about the matter. But his lawyer has made a statement saying the fact that the allegations are being made doesn't necessarily make them true. It is unclear how the Bill Cosby rape allegations will affect the stellar career of Mr. Huxtable. Reports indicate that on Tuesday Netflix postponed the launch of the new Bill Cosby stand-up comedy special.

Janice Dickinson is the third woman to echo the Bill Cosby rape allegations in the recent weeks. On Monday, Joan Tarshis, a former publicist, also accused the famous comedian of sexually assaulting her. Barbara Bowman has also leveled rape allegations against Cosby.
