Some ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Cast Still Hasn’t Read George R.R. Martin’s Books

A number of "Game of Thrones" season 6 cast still has not read George R.R. Martin's books from his "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. iDigitalTimes reported that actors in the popular HBO TV series based on Martin's fantasy novel series have not taken the time to study the author's books. The publication commented that "it's just obnoxious" and that it's time for them to read the "Song of Ice and Fire" series.

"GoT" season 6 cast such as Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) hasn't read "A Game of Thrones" while Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) hasn't read "A Clash of Kings." Another Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who portrays Jaime, actually has not read "A Song of Ice and Fire."

Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) hasn't read "A Storm of Swords." Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), on the other hand, has not read "A Feast for Crows."

Other "Game of Thrones" season 6 cast members such as Alfie Allen (Theon), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Ian McElhinney (Barristan Selmy), John Bradley (Sam), Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger) and Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) have read at least one George R.R. Martin book.

"The writers themselves, David and Dan, they didn't particularly want actors coming to the scripts from the book, always suggesting what the book did and how it was different - I could see the glazed look in their eyes when that happened," Iain Glen said to Radio Times. "They were quite happy for us to move forward and treat them as screenplays with no history, so that's the reason why I only ever read the first novel."

According to YHM, George R.R. Martin's upcoming book may see a living Jon Snow. The author has confirmed that "Winds of Winter" will have a "pivotal plot development" which will not be shown in HBO's "Game of Thrones."

There are rumors that the character will be Snow. Others speculate that it will be about The Reeds or Stannis Baratheon or Jeyne Westerling.
