The American TV series, "NCIS" would have a cancellation franchise on its 14th season. It was reported that CBS dropped the show due to poor ratings. On the other hand, it was speculated that the return of Michael Weatherly could boost up show's ratings.
As "NCIS" had its poor ratings, there were rumors that the return of the award winning actor, Michael Weatherly who played the role of Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo could help the show's ratings to be at its highest. Some of the fans agreed to the idea but many of the viewers expressed a different opinion.
According to GameNGuide, numerous fans expressed that the possible comeback of Michael Weatherly won't help to boost up "NCIS" rating. As it was reported that the said American TV series had already a stable fanbase and would not make any difference if the 48-year old actor would return to the show.
"I absolutely love NCIS, and also loved Tony on the show, but I don't think that the show depends on just him," the fan wrote. "All the cast is exceptional and if I not going to be home to watch, then I tape. Don't think I have ever missed an episode, please leave NCIS alone."
On its previous season, one of the fan's favorite, Zida David was killed off in the show which made the fans left shocked. Zida David and Michael Weatherly were one of the original cast of CBS-TV series "NCIS". Perhaps, the disappearance of the two stars were the possibilities that "NCIS" rating became low.
Fans expressed their great dismay for there were speculations that the "NCIS" TV drama series would have its end due to poor ratings. Hopefully, the American actor and director, Michael Weatherly would be returning to the show to save the low ratings of the said TV series.
