'Frozen Synapse 2' Release Date, Gameplay & Updates: Initial 2016 Release Date Canceled; Sequel Working On New Weaponry

Mode 7 Games has a lot of fans anticipating the release date of "Frozen Synapse 2" which is said to be jam-packed with cool new features! However, sources claim that the game's launch has delayed.

Initially, "Frozen Synapse 2" was slated for release by the end of 2016, as a result, many fans were looking forward to grabbing the game for the holiday season. Plus the fact that the sequel has loads of goodies to offer, and the British development studio, Mode 7 Games, even had new weaponry within the sequel.

On a positive note, delays are not as bad as they seem, especially if it is in the name of producing a high-quality game. With regard to "Frozen Synapse 2" living up to the glory of the original game will not be an easy task. The original was an amazing turn-based strategy game that required strategical and prediction skills from the players. Bringing gamers into a battle zone that is prone to surprise attacks due to the fog-of-war that is ever present in the maps.

The sequel will definitely have a lot to offer, as stated by Kotaku. "Frozen Synapse 2" will feature an all-new 'One Turn' mode whereas players will only have a single turn each, then proceed to watch how it plays out against the opponent's strategy. It was also mentioned that once the action has been done on a seed, the player will easily be able to repeat it against any opponent.

Moreover, there will be a new city o explore in the single player campaign, the AI gangs will also prove to be a challenge against the player. The latter is also an added element in multiplayer mode.

In addition, there were also a few new units revealed, one of which is the 'Naught Naughty Little Flame Man.' And yes, that is the official name of the unit. Apparently, he can burn things to a crisp. Another unit, which has yet to be given an official name, throws smoke grenades to temporarily blind the opponent.

"Frozen Synapse 2" is really amounting to be a very promising game, and the delay seems to have a just cause. According to Game N Guide, the official announcement has been made that the sequel will no longer be released this year. While there has yet to be a new release date announced, fans should prepare to note down any possible changes with regard to the sequel's release.
