Lately, it has been rumored that "Pokemon Go" is going to have its new creatures. On December 12, it finally came up with confirmation of New Pokemon has arrived in the mobile game, including Togepi and Pichu, as well as "select" ones from Pokemon Gold/Silver.

Players can capture these newly added creatures by visiting PokeStops to collect Eggs that can hatch into them. Togepi and Pichu aren't the latest new pokémon to be added to the game. In late November, Ditto was introduced with an interesting gimmick (players catch the amorphous blob by accident, as it is always disguised as another pokémon). The pair are, however, the first pokémon in the game from beyond the original 150 pokémon.

And furthermore, Pokemon Go has added a holiday update that introduces a version of Pikachu who is wearing a festive hat. As Niantic is encouraging players to use their Pokemon Go augmented reality cameras to snap a picture of Pikachu in the festive hat and share it online with the hashtag #HolidayPikachu. Additionally, as Niantic says they will appear in "large quantities" now until the event wraps up on December 29. Players might not have trouble adding the creature to your Pokedex for then.

In other news about Pokemon Go, the game's Nearby feature has expanded yet again and is now available in most regions around the world where the game is available. Infact, in the US, thousands of Starbucks locations are now sponsored PokeStops and Gyms.
