Manny Pacquiao Can Knockout Floyd Mayweather Jr, Says Boxing Legend Sugar Shane Mosley

Sugar Shane Mosley is in a good position to predict who will win if Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. decide to square in a super fight having been on top of the ring against both fighters.

And when the future Hall of Famer was asked about his thoughts on the blockbuster showdown, Mosley declined to give a prediction. Instead, the 42-year-old American insisted that Mayweather has better skills, but Pacquiao's power will pose a big threat to the undefeated American.

"Being in the ring with both of them, I really can't tell you who will win. I think Mayweather has the advantage because of his movement and slickness. That might give Manny problems," Mosley said in an interview with Solar Sports Desk. "But when I was in the ring with Manny, his power is unpredictable. You can't measure how hard he is hitting until you actually get in the ring with him."

Mosley also stressed that Pacquiao is capable of rocking the reigning pound-for-pound king, saying that he almost floored Mayweather during their showdown, and he sees no reason why a power puncher like Pacquiao cannot send the Grand Rapids native down to the canvass.

"I rocked Mayweather second round, maybe Manny rocks him, maybe he doesn't get out of that, you know, you'll never know. Manny can catch him with a good left hand. He can go down and it could be a different fight," said Mosley.

The American boxing icon staggered his countryman with a vicious right hand during the second round of their showdown in May 2010. Mayweather was hardly challenged in that fight though as he ran away with a lopsided unanimous decision victory.

A year later, Mosley had a chance to face off with Pacquiao, but was also dominated by the Filipino eight-division champion, who scored a clean knockdown in the third round of their May 2011 bout.

Fight fans, including Mosley himself, are still hoping that the two boxing superstars will eventually set aside their respective egos and agree to face other in a potential record-breaking showdown.

Boxing fans will have to wait though as both fighters are set to make their ring return soon. Reports indicated that Pacquiao will face Timothy Bradley on April 12th, while Mayweather is leaning towards facing Amir Khan on May 3rd.
