Chicago Bulls News and Rumors: Joakim Noah Believes Bulls Can Overcome LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers

Joakim Noah expressed excitement over the team's chances next season after making roster shakeup this summer, but the All-Star center knows that there are many obstacles to hurdle to win a title.

In an interview with ESPN Chicago, Noah said that one of the biggest obstacles that they need to overcome are LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers along with reigning Eastern Conference champions, Miami Heat.

But while he knows that the road to his first championship won't be easy, Noah expressed confidence that they have what it takes to to beat the contenders next season.

"Every time LeBron steps onto the court he's affecting the game," Noah said. "He's the best player in the game, but that being said, I think we have a chance to beat them. And that's the goal. We want to beat LeBron James, we want to beat the Miami Heat, we want to beat all those teams who are in our way. He's obviously one of the big obstacles."

The Bulls, who were eliminated in the first round of of last season's playoffs by the Washington Wizards, made key additions to the team this summer.

Chicago signed Pau Gasol to a three-year, $22 million contract this summer, while also getting the services of European star Nikola Mirotic and free-agent guard Aaron Brooks.

The Bulls also drafted highly-touted rookie Doug McDermott, who is expected to space the floor for Chicago with his deadly outside shooting along with sophomore guard Tony Snell, who had an excellent stint in the 2014 NBA Las Vegas Summer League.

"I think we've had a lot of very solid additions," Noah said. "I think Tony Snell had a very good summer league. He's somebody who I expect to contribute for us, and the rookie as well, McDermott. Then, you see Pau and Mirotic and all those guys, even Aaron Brooks. Everything that [the front office] did, and bringing our guys back, I think is going to be great."

The Bulls are also currently engaged in trade talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves about a deal that could send All-Star power forward Kevin Love to Chicago before the start of the 2014-15 NBA season.
