NBA Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Draft Kit, Sleepers: LeBron James Overtakes Kevin Durant In Draft Big Board

The 2014-15 NBA season is right around the corner, which also signals the start of another Fantasy Basketball season for NBA fanatics.

If you have the first pick in the draft on your league, you will have the luxury of picking Kevin Durant, LeBron James or Anthony Davis, who are considered as the top three players in terms of Fantasy potential.

But the choice will now be easier for first-pick owners after Durant, the consensus top pick this year, went down with a foot injury that will put him on the sidelines for the next eight weeks. After the injury was unveiled, the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar dropped from 1st to 15th place in NBA.com's draft big board.

"Durant will likely miss the first six to eight weeks of the season after fracturing a bone in his right foot. The reigning MVP, scoring champion and top-rated fantasy player has to drop from his perch atop the rankings. If you can stash him on the bench for a while, his return would be a great holiday gift heading into 2015," NBA.com noted.

With Durant out for several weeks, James moved up on top of the draft big board as he is expected to average impressive numbers in the upcoming season as he is surrounded by a new cast in Cleveland this year, including fellow superstars Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving.

Davis, who made a lot of fantasy owners smile big time last season with his all-around performance, is now second on the list followed by Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.

Thunder starting point guard Russell Westbrook jumped from seventh to fourth, which is understandable, considering the fact that he will have a bigger responsibility with Durant out of the lineup.

Aside from the superstars that are expected to go high in draft, fantasy owners will have to keep an eye on several players, who are projected to go deep into the draft but could make big impact in the upcoming season.

Minnesota Timberwolves sophomore center Gorgui Dieng could be one of the biggest sleepers this year as he is expected to play more minutes with Love now out of the team.

Aside from Dieng, Jose Calderon of the New York Knicks, Roy Hibbert of the Indiana Pacers, Omer Asik of the New Orleans Pelicans, Evan Turner of the Boston Celtics, Jonas Valanciunas of the Toronto Raptors and Terrence Jones of the Houston Rockets are considered sleepers in this year's fantasy draft.
