’Star Wars Episode 8' Official Title Finally Revealed, Director Rian Johnson’s Movie Has Final Name: Will It Be ‘Tale Of The Jedi Temple’ Or ‘Order Of The Dark Side’?

Although "Star Wars Episode 8" is not due to be released this year, the movie is still practically nameless. However, a Reddit thread has lit up the internet saying that the name of Disney's 2017 franchise movie will be titled "Tale of the Jedi Temple."

But it seems that's not it just yet. The Dubrovnik Times has squashed that rumor and cited that the title is "The Order of the Dark Side." Though the production is currently set in Dubrovnik, Croatia, Digital Spy claimed that neither of those titles are believable, explaining that the franchise titles always had a history of wordy titles.

However, "Tale of the Jedi Temple" would make sense since it would refer to the upcoming plot that Luke Skywalker is searching for the lost Jedi temple. The second title, "The Order of the Dark Side" makes sense too considering that Kylo Ren and the ghastly Supreme Leader may be cooking up something big as hinted by Kylo Ren's "last training" in "Episode 7."

With no word from director Rian Johnson, Independent has predicted that the official movie title will be released about 13 months before the premiere of "Star Wars Episode 8" on Dec. 15, 2017 - which means everyone can look forward to an official teaser on November 2016. This timeline was taken from JJ Abram's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" release and it may be the same timeline Johnson will follow.

What's for sure as of writing is that Benicio del Toro will be playing the villain in the upcoming movie. What do you think the title will be? Or would you rather follow Carrie Fisher's "Space Bear"?
