'Winds Of Winter' Release Date Finally Happening, Author GRRM Working Hard To Beat Deadline

"Games of Thrones" season 6 has already started on HBO and that eases the fans a little bit. However, that doesn't stop fans from wondering if author George R.R. Martin has finished "Winds of Winter."

When is "Winds of Winter" going to be released? Martin has confirmed that the book will not be finished when HBO premieres the sixth season of "Game of Thrones." Regardless, Martin has promised to keep working on it.

However, reports have surfaced that "Winds of Winter" may be making its big break soon. The Bit Bag has it that the book could be making it's debut sometime in May 2016. This much awaited "Winds of Winter" release date is certainly making fans anxious.

While the show has caught up and surpassed the books, it has been previously reported that showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss met with Martin to learn how the rest of the story will go. It is expected that some parts of "The Winds of Winter" will be spoiled in the current season of the show. But that doesn't mean that the guys are going to follow Martin's play, word for word. According to MNR Daily, the showrunners may be twisting some storylines but promised to remain true to the major theme of the book.

There is no clear date as to when the "Winds of Winter" release date is but as a writer and passionate author, Martin is working hard to finish the novel. He has put most of his career commitments on hold such as declining multiple TV interviews. He wants to focus on writing the last novel. He previously stated on his blog that it's taking him some time to finish and it's not an easy thing to do, when it comes to writing. But he will make it happen.
