'Harry Potter Go' Updates: Game Developers Niantic & Nintendo Versus Square Enix; 'Pokemon Go' Not Going Down Without A Fight

"Harry Potter Go" is already in development and will be delivered to us Potterheads by Square Enix. The new Wizard adventure app is a location-based mobile game that is designed to compete against Niantic's top rated game "Pokemon Go."

There has yet to be a confirmation about "Harry Potter Go" but it is likely to be similar to the current Harry Potter themed game, "Fantastic Beasts: Cases from the Wizarding World." Once it materializes, "Harry Potter Go" will have users searching for Harry Potter items such as Horcruxes and Spells books.

There was a recently released video of the rumored "Harry Potter Go" game and it showcases a battle system allowing players to encounter evil magical beings like Dementors and Giant Spiders. The said battle system will have players use spells they have learned by collecting spellbooks to defeat the Dark Lord's minions. The video also featured a spell casting system since the spellbook items illustrate what gesture the player must perform to cast the spell.

All these rumored features that "Harry Potter Go" will possess is likely to take the world by storm and this may pose a threat to the currently reigning location-based mobile game "Pokemon Go."

That being said, there are reports that suggest Niantic and Nintendo will be joining forces to keep their boat floating once Square Enix launches "Harry Potter Go"

It is evident that "Harry Potter Go" is a promising game and has a huge shot to dominate the mobile gaming world. However, the rumors about Niantic and Nintendo preparing to make their move to counter "Harry Potter Go" is still unconfirmed.

In other news, the tickets for "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" have already sold out and as a result, they play's run has been extended to possibly cater more interesting views. A report from DIgial Spy mentioned that the play would have a two-part production in February 2018.

As for the release date of Square Enix's "Harry Potter Go" it has yet to be announced and the progress of its production is also unknown. If rumors stay true, we are in for an amazing magical adventure.
