'Arrow' Season 5 News & Updates: Flashpoint Crossover Episode To Alter Diggle's Reality; Prometheus Rises!

The development of Episode 3 - Season 3 (Flashpoint) of the series "Flash" inevitably affects the events of "Arrow." The crossover element was not yet very significant in the previous seasons but Season 5 of "Arrow" foresees major changes in John Diggle's reality.

Barry, the Flash, has accidentally altered the timeline in the same 'butterfly effect' prevalent in films like "Men In Black 3." Given that both "Flash" and "Arrow" dwells in the same DC universe, these shows are bound to share the same 'alternate reality' phenomenon.

So what makes John Diggle important? His apocryphal daughter, Sara (Black Canary), becomes a son named John (also known as Connor Hawke, the succeeding Green Arrow). An article in Carter Matt discusses how the stalwart sidekick of Oliver Queen would eventually encounter his daughter 'from another universe.'

The fifth season of "Arrow" also guarantees another exciting element. The gradual appearance of the notorious DC villain Prometheus is pushing the boundaries of how creators can elevate this television series.

In an article published by Nerdist, Oliver Queen is getting pushed into a corner as his team is trying to unravel the identity of Prometheus. The recent development in the currently aired Season 4 finds the mayor of Star City slowly being exposed by villains.

Curiously, Oliver Queen is a character whose dual identity causes a two-fold struggle. As the vigilante Green Arrow, he has no shortage of enemies who would try to destroy him and his beloved city. As an ordinary (unmasked) person, the latest episodes in Season 4 got him on the ropes in a complicated romance with a tech CEO Felicity Smoak.

"Arrow" will be broadcasting its 100th episode upon the opening of Season 5. For a show that has captured the hearts and imaginations of viewers worldwide, speculations and spoilers are always inevitable.
